Senior Site Engineer

Summary: The Senior Site Engineer role at Murphy involves working with the Energy Team on the National Grid, HWUP Project, focusing on innovative engineering solutions within the energy sector. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes.
• Maintain good working relations with clients, designers, and the supply chain.
• Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
• Ensure drawings and specifications contain accurate information for construction.
• Request missing information timely to avoid project delays.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors.
• Oversee selection and requisition of materials and plant for construction.
• Prepare written risk assessments and method statements.
• Keep a full and accurate daily site diary.
• Ensure inspection and test plans are completed as required.

Key Skills:

• Experience in construction or civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of ITPs, RAMs, and temporary works.
• Excellent understanding of civil engineering legislation and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to discuss engineering issues across various levels and disciplines.
• Capability to produce and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
