Summary: We are looking for a Senior Service Designer to lead the design of public services as part of a government AI transformation programme. This role involves shaping user-centred services and influencing the integration of AI in public service delivery. The position requires extensive experience in service design within complex digital environments and offers a chance to make a significant impact. The contract is for 6 months and is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate service design work across agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Design services that are efficient, inclusive, accessible, and user-centred.
- Work within the AI Customer Experience Frontier Programme to explore new design opportunities using emerging technologies.
- Use research and data to inform service improvements and address user needs.
- Facilitate co-design workshops, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Champion accessibility, legal compliance, and sustainability in service design.
- Mentor junior designers and promote best practice across government design communities.
Key Skills:
