Summary: The Senior SEO & Generative-Search Lead at BAWAG Group will drive the digital sales strategy by enhancing organic search visibility for various financial products across multiple markets. This role involves leading the SEO and generative-search roadmap, improving technical foundations, and integrating SEO with content workflows. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align growth targets and monitor market changes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group-wide organic & generative-search strategy across AT, DE, NL, IE & US.
- Audit and improve technical foundations with Technology partners.
- Quantify the influence of paid activity on organic search and engagement.
- Integrate SEO & GEO in the Website content team workflow.
- Ensure new pages/templates ship with correct metadata and structured data.
- Partner with the attribution team to map organic visits to downstream metrics.
- Prioritise and run structured experimentation roadmap tests.
- Identify high-authority publishers and develop outreach strategies.
- Own measurement using GA4, GSC, and BI dashboards.
- Monitor algorithm changes and competitor moves; publish action plans.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years hands-on SEO experience, including scaling multi-market or multilingual sites.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments (preferred).
- Deep technical SEO skills (structured data, log-file analysis, site architecture).

The impact you’ll own Accelerate digital sales by driving qualified organic discovery for Consumer Loans, Current Accounts Investment / Brokerage Accounts, Credit Cards, SME / Freelancer Accounts. You will own the group-wide SEO & generative-search roadmap across our core markets—covering technical health, intent-led content, structured data, and emerging LLM / AI search surfaces.
What you’ll do Lead group-wide organic & generative-search strategy across AT, DE, NL, IE & US. Audit and improve technical foundations (crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, hreflang, index management) with Technology partners. Cross-channel demand insight. Quantify how paid activity (Paid Social, Google Media, SEA) influences branded search, direct visits and engagement with priority product pages; feed insights into planning. Integrate SEO & GEO in the Website content team workflow. Ensure new pages/templates across our brands ship with the right metadata, structured data, FAQ blocks and accurate product info (rates, fees, eligibility) so search engines & AI assistants surface correct answers. Performance signal plumbing. Partner with the attribution team to map organic visits and key intent pages to downstream metrics (application starts, approvals, funded / activated accounts). Structured experimentation roadmap. Prioritise and run tests (template variants, internal linking, FAQ schema capture, GEO experiments) and report impact. Publisher & syndication growth. Identify high-authority publishers / comparison portals / community channels and develop scalable outreach or syndication motion to grow qualified organic traffic. Own measurement: GA4, GSC, log-file insights & BI dashboards that translate visibility shifts into funnel impact. Partner cross-functionally with Performance Marketing (Paid Social, Google Media, SEA), Website Content team, Technology, Product / Sales, Analytics & attribution teams to align growth targets, tracking and go-to-market timing. Monitor algorithm / LLM changes and competitor moves; publish prioritized action plans.
What you bring 5+ years hands-on SEO experience, including success scaling multi-market or multilingual sites. Experience in financial services, fintech or another regulated / high-governance environment (preferred, not required). Deep technical SEO skills (structured data, log-file analysis, site architecture, JavaScript rendering, indexing at scale). Demonstrated ability to build or guide large content programs tied to commercial funnels. Familiarity with emerging LLM / AI search ecosystems and how structured data, authority and content freshness influence generative answers. Analytical strength: you are comfortable moving from GA4 / GSC exports to actionable insights; SQL or BI familiarity a plus. Fluency in English; German helpful for DACH stakeholder alignment.
