Summary: The Senior SAP BTP Integration Lead will oversee the integration workstream for a UK Government SAP transformation programme, ensuring the delivery of enterprise-grade solutions that connect SAP S/4HANA with various systems. This role requires technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with architects and security specialists to meet government standards. The position is based in London, requiring a minimum of 3 to 4 days onsite per week. Candidates must have SC clearance or be eligible for it, along with deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take technical ownership of the integration workstream, shaping architecture and standards for SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Lead a team of integration developers to deliver robust solutions connecting SAP S/4HANA with government and third-party systems.
- Conduct technical design workshops, produce architecture documentation aligned with frameworks like TOGAF, and govern the integration backlog.
- Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues and collaborate with enterprise architects and security specialists.
- Champion best practices in error handling, monitoring, and performance optimisation, promoting reusable artefacts across the programme.
- Engage stakeholders effectively and present technical insights to senior leadership and client stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Open Connectors, Event Mesh).
- Proven experience leading complex integration projects within regulated or public-sector environments.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Experience producing architecture documentation aligned with frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Ability to lead technical workshops and govern integration backlogs effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance; candidates must be eligible for full security vetting.
