Summary: The Senior React Engineer role is a contract position based in London, focusing on enhancing a product-led business's frontend platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Building and scaling complex web applications using React and Next.js
- Contributing to a modern frontend architecture (component-driven, modular, scalable)
- Working closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features
- Improving performance, reliability, and maintainability across the frontend codebase
- Writing clean, testable code and contributing to engineering standards across the team
- Taking ownership of features from design through to production
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript in production environments
- Experience building complex, user-facing applications (not just marketing sites)
- Exposure to Next.js or similar modern frameworks
- Experience working within component-based architectures or design systems
- Solid understanding of API integration (REST or GraphQL)
- Experience working in agile, product-led teams
- A track record of delivering features in fast-moving environments
- Experience with micro-frontends or large-scale frontend platforms (bonus)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices (bonus)
- Experience in financial services, SaaS, or high-traffic platforms (bonus)
- Comfortable picking up light backend work where needed

Overview We’re working with a well-funded, product-led business undergoing a significant evolution of its frontend platform. This is not a greenfield “build a landing page” role. This is a core product engineering position , focused on building scalable, high-performance user experiences used daily by customers. You will be joining a team that values clean architecture, strong engineering standards, and pragmatic delivery .
