Summary: The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor involves leading cost planning and procurement strategies for a high-profile mixed-use development project with a focus on pre-construction services agreements (PCSA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early-stage project planning and cost management, working closely with various teams to ensure cost-effective development. This freelance position is suited for a commercially astute professional who can operate independently while integrating with a larger project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost planning and procurement strategy during PCSA phase
- Liaise with design, planning, and commercial teams to ensure cost-effective development
- Provide detailed cost reports, risk assessments, and value engineering input
- Prepare tender packages and negotiate early trade contracts
- Interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Senior QS on mixed-use or media/commercial developments
- Strong background in pre-construction / PCSA stages
- Able to work independently and integrate with a wider project team
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
- Immediate availability preferred
