Summary: The role of Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor focuses on supporting a major offshore wind project, particularly the Wind Turbine Package. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support upstream and downstream claims.
- Develop and substantiate Extension of Time (EOT) and compensation event submissions.
- Prepare detailed quantum assessments and cost analysis.
- Track project events, commercial risks, and associated cost impacts.
- Maintain accurate cost records, forecasts, and commercial reporting.
- Work closely with project, construction, and commercial teams to support contractual and commercial objectives.
- Ensure robust project records are maintained to support entitlement and claims positions.
Key Skills:
- Proven Senior QS experience on major infrastructure, energy, renewables, or construction projects.
- Strong background in claims management, EOTs, and quantum analysis.
- Excellent commercial reporting and cost management skills.
- Ability to build and present robust commercial cases backed by detailed evidence.
- Experience within offshore wind, EPC/EPCI, marine, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of standard forms of contract, ideally including FIDIC.
