Summary: The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor involves managing the site-based commercial functions for a significant highways and public realm regeneration project for a Gloucester-based Civil Engineering Contractor. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in civil engineering contracting and relevant UK Quantity Surveying experience. This position requires a minimum of four days on-site work and is classified as outside IR35. The role offers a competitive daily rate of up to £475.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage site-based commercial functions for highways and public realm regeneration projects.
- Oversee contract management including NEC and JCT contracts.
- Provide commercial support and advice to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
- Prepare and submit cost reports and forecasts.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering contracting.
- 5-10 years of UK Quantity Surveying experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively on-site and manage commercial functions.
Salary (Rate): £475 daily

My client is a Gloucester based Civil Engineering Contractor who are currently undertaking a significant highways & public realm regeneration project and are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on the site based commercial function. The ideal candidate will have:
- A civil engineering contractor background (min 5 years)
- 5-10 years UK Quantity Surveying experience
- Contract experience including NEC & JCT
This role is site based, (minimum 4 days on site), OUTSIDE IR35 and is paying up to £475 per day.
