Summary: The Senior QA Tester will join a client on a 6-month contract to address QA backlogs, enhance processes, and bolster the QA capability within the engineering function. Reporting to the CTO, the role involves both automation and manual testing, as well as mentoring other testers. The position requires Security Clearance or BPSS due to the client's public sector work. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days on-site in Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work through an existing QA backlog and help stabilise project delivery timelines
- Automation and manual testing
- Coach, mentor, and support other testers across the team
- Introduce and implement QA best practices and automation strategies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and leadership teams
Key Skills:
- Strong automation skills
- Experience with Microsoft and cloud-based technologies
- Exposure to Oracle systems (desirable)
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Experience in both automation and manual testing
- Familiarity with QA best practices
