Summary: The Senior QA & Project Delivery Manager will oversee quality assurance and project delivery for large-scale technology initiatives, requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership. This role involves defining QA strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project delivery across global operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead end-to-end quality assurance strategy, including test planning, execution, reporting, and governance.
- Drive project delivery across software, infrastructure, and transformation programmes using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.
- Develop and enforce QA standards, processes, and frameworks to support functional, non-functional, and operational acceptance testing.
- Lead and mentor QA teams, fostering capability development and high performance across global, cross-functional units.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align quality and delivery efforts with strategic goals.
- Manage UAT, SIT, DR, and NFT activities, ensuring quality and compliance across all test phases.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and offshore delivery teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and SLA adherence.
- Create and maintain KPI dashboards and executive-level reports, providing visibility into testing progress, quality metrics, and risk.
- Conduct incident analysis and root cause investigations, implementing preventative measures for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on test automation strategies, tooling decisions, and integrations into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to change and release management processes, ensuring QA readiness and risk mitigation.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in QA leadership and project delivery roles, ideally within enterprise environments.
- Proven track record of delivering multi-phase, cross-functional programmes, including WMS, ERP, supply chain, or e-commerce systems.
- Strong grasp of test lifecycle management and delivery within Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.
- Experience developing and scaling QA teams, including offshore/vendor management.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive-level reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead incident and root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Experience with non-functional testing, automation, and test environment governance.
- Hands-on familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, Trello, HP ALM, and MS Project.
