Summary: As a Senior QA Engineer in a FTSE 250 Financial Services company, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality digital experiences through API integration testing in a dynamic Agile environment. Your role will involve developing manual and automated test cases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines. This position emphasizes both technical expertise and a commitment to delivering seamless customer journeys. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop manual and automated test cases for API and integration testing.
- Build and maintain API and UI automation frameworks using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners in a Scrum/Kanban environment.
- Implement automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Identify, report, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Verify integrations with external vendors, payment gateways, and financial service providers.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of QA experience in Financial Services, ideally in banking, insurance, payments, or investment platforms.
- Strong experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured).
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, and authentication mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and using BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of financial compliance, security standards, and risk-based testing.
