Summary: We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a leading financial services organization on a 6-month contract. The role involves defining test strategies, driving automation best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-performing applications. The successful candidate will leverage hands-on automation expertise and leadership skills to guide teams in implementing innovative testing solutions. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation frameworks for web, API, and data validation testing within wealth management and trading systems.
  • Define and execute QA and automation strategy across multiple Agile delivery teams, embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and risk teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Drive continuous testing and integration within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
  • Oversee functional, regression, performance, and integration testing for complex financial services applications.
  • Mentor and coach QA engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience in QA engineering within financial services or other complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience using Avaloq (Nice to have).
  • Strong knowledge of Python for automation scripting.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data validation and back-end testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

Salary (Rate): £500 p/d
