Senior Python Software Engineer (Cloud / Platform)

Contract: Inside IR35

Location: Hybrid – Leeds (approximately 1 day per month on-site)

Duration: Until August 2027 (initial contract)

Rate: Up to £400 per day

Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required (transferable)

Essential Skills

• Strong commercial Python development experience
• AWS cloud development experience
• Terraform (or other Infrastructure as Code tools)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
• Observability and monitoring tooling
• Experience supporting production systems and incident investigation

Desirable

• Platform Engineering or DevOps experience
• Shift-left security practices
• Building reusable IaC modules and CI/CD components
• Experience promoting engineering best practices across teams

Requirements

• Active transferable SC Security Clearance
• Willingness to join an on-call rota once fully onboarded
