Summary: The Senior Project Manager (Construction Procurement) at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive will oversee construction procurement exercises, ensuring compliance with public procurement policies and effective delivery of projects. The role involves collaboration with various teams to develop work programmes, draft tender documentation, and manage procurement processes. This position is temporary but is expected to transition to a permanent role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's objectives in construction procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of construction procurement exercises in collaboration with the Corporate Procurement Unit.
- Develop work programmes for tendering and ensure compliance with procurement strategy and legislation.
- Draft and review tender and contract documentation in line with public procurement policy.
- Establish procurement requirements with clients and external consultants, providing technical input.
- Prepare and analyze costings for tender evaluations in collaboration with the Cost Management team.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Building/Construction, Procurement, or Business.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Building/Construction.
- Experience in developing and preparing construction contract documentation.
- Proficiency in managing NEC contracts and delivering procurement exercises.
- Ability to review technical documents and provide critical feedback.
- Experience in mentoring colleagues on NEC contract matters.
