On behalf of a leading national main contractor, we are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead a flagship industrial construction project in Birmingham. With a turnover exceeding GBP500m, our client is a highly respected national main contractor, specialising in the delivery of significant residential and industrial projects up to a value of GBP200m. The Role

As the Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a new:build, GBP50m industrial development. This is a hands:on role where you will be the driving force behind the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the project from pre:construction through to final handover.
• Leading and motivating a multi:disciplinary project team.
• Managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including programming, risk management, and quality control.
• Fostering strong relationships with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management.
• Managing project budgets and procurement processes.

The Ideal Candidate

A minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Manager in a main contractor environment. Proven experience in the successful delivery of large:scale industrial or commercial projects, ideally with a value of GBP30m+. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively. Exceptional commercial and contractual awareness. Relevant construction qualification (e.g., Degree in Construction Management, HNC/HND). SMSTS and CSCS Black Card certification. Based in or able to commute to the Birmingham area.

Remuneration

This is a senior:level position with a highly competitive package on offer. Salary: GBP85,000 : GBP95,000 per annum Car: Company car or car allowance Bonus: Performance:related bonus scheme Package: Comprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare, pension scheme, and more.
