Summary: The Senior Project Manager role at Boots involves leading the discovery stage of the new Epos Replacement Programme, focusing on business process change and collaboration across various departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of multiple workstreams across the project, ensuring that appropriate governance and controls are in place.
  • Take responsibility for initiative delivery involving multiple teams for large or complex initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and development from start to finish.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders and executives as required for regular status reporting and ad-hoc decision support.
  • Apply best practices in project management and process change for quality project delivery & lead continuous improvement of processes.
  • Coordinate with other project/programme managers to ensure alignment with other transformation projects and ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to align priorities, project objectives, process changes with overall business goals.
  • Lead and chair workshops with multiple senior, technical, product and business stakeholders and communicate the outputs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work in a busy environment and prioritise conflicting calls on time.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of delivering business process change solutions, ideally with EPOS implementation background.
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering process change programmes or similar roles, spanning multiple years of managing multiple technical projects within a fast-paced industry.
  • Experience in developing, leading, coaching, and inspiring teams of Project Managers and key business stakeholders.
  • The ability to think strategically, pragmatically, and positively about product, technical and cross-functional challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and manage relations across all levels of the organisation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing the end-to-end delivery of large projects which include 3rd party vendors critical to project success.

About the role

Are you an experienced Project or Business Process Change Manager looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join the project team during the discovery stage of the new Epos Replacement Programme at Boots. Reporting to the Head of Operations Development and regularly reporting progress to Senior Director level, this role sits within our Central Operations function and will work closely with IT, Finance, Internal and external partners to define the scope and implementation plan for this new system, a truly cross functional piece of work! This role will support the end-to-end discovery element of the project, will manage the overall business process change process, collaborating with IT, internal business stakeholders and 3rd Party Project Managers and will be responsible for the successful scoping of the new Epos and related activity engine solutions on time, as per brief and within budget.

Key responsibilities

What you'll need to have

  • Experience of delivering business process change solutions, ideally with EPOS implementation background
