Summary: A leading global insurance firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support large-scale transformation programmes within their Business Change function for an initial 6-month contract. The role involves managing complex projects focused on restructuring, operating model delivery, and offshoring. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications and ensuring project alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate high-level business requirements and use cases into detailed functional specifications and structured project plans
  • Lead the delivery of highly complex, regional change programmes across multiple workstreams
  • Define long-term goals and develop delivery methods aligned to strategic business value
  • Monitor project progress through regular status meetings and detailed planning documentation, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resource negotiation, task planning, and delivery across cross-functional teams
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring alignment with internal accounting policies and governance procedures
  • Produce insightful reporting and updates on project status, costs, and risks for executive stakeholders
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with agreed standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as a subject matter expert on business change delivery, project planning tools, and project governance best practices
  • Mentor and guide project team members, driving consistency and excellence in delivery

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience delivering restructuring and/or offshoring projects within financial services or insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, and multi-year business change programmes
  • Deep knowledge of project governance, stakeholder management, and resource planning
  • Proven track record of delivering within fast-paced, regulated corporate environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
