Senior Project Manager Birmingham/Midlands 6 Month Contract Are you a passionate and experienced Senior Project Manager ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic environment? Our client is on the lookout for a talented individual to lead a complex Tx programme featuring multiple workstreams and interdependencies. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-sufficient leader who thrives in driving delivery momentum and ensuring effective governance with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities :

• Own the Programme Plan: Take charge of the integrated programme plan across a complex Tx landscape, managing multiple dependencies with finesse.
• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate and steer cross-functional workstreams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of all project components.
• Chair Governance Forums: Lead programme and governance meetings, providing clear status updates, valuable insights, and decision-making support.
• Drive PMO Disciplines: Champion strong Programme Management and PMO practices, focusing on RAID management, reporting, and controls.
• Identify Risks Early: Be proactive in identifying delivery risks and interdependencies, resolving potential issues before they impact outcomes.
• Engage Stakeholders: Ensure stakeholders remain informed, aligned, and accountable throughout the entire programme lifecycle.

Required Experience & Capabilities :

• Hands-On Programme Delivery: You should have substantial, hands-on experience in delivering complex programmes from start to finish.
• Management of Interdependencies: Proven ability to manage complex, highly interdependent programmes effectively is essential.
• Governance Leadership: Strong experience in chairing senior-level steering and decision-making forums is a must.
• Understanding of Best Practices: A deep understanding of Programme Management and PMO best practices will set you apart.
• Self-Directed Professional: You must be highly self-directed, capable of operating with minimal support in a critical delivery role.
• Confident Communicator: Your ability to influence senior stakeholders and maintain a focus on delivery will be key to your success.
• Experience working for a big 4 consulting firm.
