Summary: The Senior Project Manager for HR Transformation (SAP) will lead a high-profile HR transformation programme for a major UK media organisation, focusing on SAP technology implementation. This role involves managing complex SAP projects, particularly SAP Workzone and SuccessFactors Employee Central, while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and project delivery. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement and is initially contracted for six months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of technology-led projects, working with cross-functional teams from Technology, HR, and other business areas.
  • Select and apply appropriate project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to ensure successful outcomes across time, cost, scope, and quality.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring their goals are understood, expectations are managed, and communication is clear and consistent.
  • Create robust plans, estimates, and governance models tailored to each project's complexity.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to minimise delivery impact.
  • Provide guidance to Assistant Project Managers or Project Management Apprentices where applicable.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering SAP projects in the HR, Talent Acquisition, or Learning domains.
  • Track record of managing complex technology projects (£500k+ budgets, multi-vendor, multi-workstream).
  • Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Formal project management accreditation (eg, PRINCE2, APM, PMI).
  • Experienced working in large-scale, fast-paced, and politically complex environments.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Practical experience with different delivery approaches and understanding their pros and cons.

About the Role
