Summary: The Senior Project Manager role is a contract position based in Belfast, requiring a seasoned professional to manage complex projects within the PMO team. The position involves close collaboration with the Codec team and clients, overseeing project execution from pre-sales to operational support. The role demands accountability for project scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring high-quality service delivery. Strong project management skills and experience in large enterprise environments are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage larger and more complex projects, potentially overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintain project data, planning, and forecasting using Codec’s PM tool, Projector.
- Oversee all project aspects from pre-sales through implementation and handover to operational support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the project, ensuring accountability.
- Manage projects according to agreed scope, budget, and schedule, applying change management processes as needed.
- Identify and manage inter-dependencies with other projects.
- Collaborate with internal governance structures, including PMO and Senior Leadership Team, to address client engagement considerations.
- Formulate and update project plans while maintaining project schedules.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) with mitigating actions.
- Report project progress in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Estimate project costs as required and achieve PMO project quality gates.
- Manage project milestones and deliverables, as well as project resources.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Project management qualification – Prince2 Practitioner/PMP.
- Experience in large enterprise organizations delivering business applications projects.
- Familiarity with ERP projects (Microsoft Business Central) and CRM/Workflow projects (Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects within agreed scope, budget, and schedule.
- Management of cross-functional projects.
- Proficient in MS Project.
- Experience in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience with Projector or other Professional Services automation tools is preferred.
- Expert in planning, multi-tasking, and working to tight deadlines.
- Strong customer care and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
