Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of the Heritage capital projects from inception through to completion.
  • Act as the Council's representative, ensuring robust project governance, risk management, and quality assurance throughout.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and funding partners, ensuring collaboration and effective communication at all levels.
  • Oversee contractors, consultants, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Provide clear reporting, progress updates, and assurance to senior officers, members, and funding bodies.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record in delivering large, complex construction projects on behalf of a public sector client (Local Authority preferred).
  • Experience in heritage and listed building projects.
  • Relevant construction-related qualification (e.g., MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM, or equivalent experience).
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, particularly with multiple funding groups.
  • Excellent project leadership, contract management, and reporting skills.

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of two major heritage capital projects: a new Community Hub/Library and a Museum & Art Gallery.
