Summary: The Senior Programme Manager (Trauma-Informed Interviewing Expert) will provide high-level technical expertise to support Member States in enhancing their capacities for trauma-informed, human rights-compliant interviews in terrorism-related contexts. This role involves conducting assessments, designing capacity-building activities, and offering mentorship to ensure effective interviewing practices while safeguarding personnel against trauma. The position emphasizes the integration of human rights and gender perspectives in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical expertise to strengthen capacities for trauma-informed interviews in terrorism-related contexts.
• Conduct missions and consultations to assess capacity-building needs of national entities.
• Design and evaluate capacity-building activities focused on trauma-informed interviewing practices.
• Provide advisory and mentorship services to enhance operational procedures and interviewing skills.
• Prepare high-quality written outputs, including analyses, training materials, and reports.
• Ensure integration of human rights issues and gender perspectives in all work.

Key Skills:

• Advanced University Degree (Master’s) in Psychology, Psychiatry, Criminal Justice, Law, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in psychological trauma management in terrorism-related contexts.
• At least five years of experience in delivering capacity-building activities on trauma-informed interviewing.
• Fluency in English (read, write, speak); knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
• Experience in designing technical assistance for diverse audiences, including government officials.
• Desirable experience in terrorism-affected countries and knowledge of UN standards and tools.
