Summary: The Senior Product Manager for Storytelling and Engagement at Economist Impact will lead product development efforts focused on enhancing internal tools for publishing Policy & Insights research and data visualization stories. This role involves collaborating with various teams to optimize content production and improve user experience within the CMS. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, emphasizing profitability and scalability in content offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and documentation skills, along with a service-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Editors, Designers, Strategists, and Sales to design and implement tools for engaging content experiences.
  • Identify and templatise frequently used content formats to optimize production efficiency and profitability.
  • Enhance the CMS user experience for different users, ensuring ease of use and appropriate workflows.
  • Spearhead the rollout of new features and enhancements to the CMS, managing feedback and feature requests.
  • Advocate for the end user reading experience and support sales and strategy teams in communicating value to clients.
  • Own the vision for the product area and manage a rolling 3-month roadmap with a high-level 12-month view.
  • Set clear priorities to achieve customer and business needs and rally stakeholders around them.
  • Partner with engineering, design, delivery, and business stakeholders using agile methodologies.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager for Growth & Navigation to align CMS roadmap with audience growth objectives.
