About The Role
We are seeking a Product Manager with strong technical background to drive the sync engine behind Goodnotes. In this high-impact role, you will lead the sync and infrastructure strategy, transforming our platform from a personal note-taking tool into a robust, real-time collaborative workspace for enterprises. Your mission is twofold: improve the reliability of our current sync architecture and build the low-latency foundation required for our next-generation collaboration capabilities. You will work alongside backend and frontend experts to tackle complex distributed systems challenges, directly enabling our expansion into the B2B market.

- Leading the sync and infrastructure strategy in a high-impact role.
- Transforming the platform: Evolving Goodnotes from a personal note-taking tool into a robust, real-time collaborative workspace for enterprises.
- Twofold mission: Improving the reliability of our current sync architecture while building the low-latency foundation required for our next-generation collaboration capabilities.
- Tackling complex challenges: Working alongside backend and frontend experts on distributed systems challenges to directly enable our expansion into the B2B market.
The skills you will need to be successful in the above
- Experience working on platforms serving millions of users.
- Track record of launching successful platform features (e.g. related to SLA/performance guarantees, multi-tenant/multi-instance architecture, data residency, etc.) from concept to launch.
- Deep understanding of backend technologies (APIs, webhooks, databases) and distributed systems concepts (latency, conflict resolution, availability).
- Ability to translate high-level business goals (e.g. "improve retention") into technical requirements (e.g. "reduce sync error rate to
- Ability to prioritize non-functional requirements (uptime, throughput, speed) alongside new feature development.
- Comfort with analyzing metric dashboards and diving into logs to prioritize engineering work.

- An AI literacy interview, designed to help us gauge your experience with AI tools and your approach to working with this technology
