Summary: The Senior Product Designer role at Red Badger requires a fluent French speaker to join a cross-functional team focused on a website and intranet project for a Development Bank. Key Responsibilities:

The Role As a Senior Product Designer, you deliver value from ideation to implementation. You have a strong understanding of branding, Lean design practices and UX. You have a meticulous eye for detail, with the ability to visualise and communicate the ‘big picture’ product vision. You are able to draw on your experience and knowledge of best practices to create innovative digital solutions. You are pragmatic, and understand the need to balance business requirements with design excellence to achieve our clients’ goals. You are a people person. As a trusted consultant and experienced designer, you develop a rapport with your clients and help them through the product development process. You are an integral part of the product team at Red Badger, and work in client-facing cross-functional teams building digital products. You work closely with your team to be a champion of user needs, brand and the product vision so your team can deliver the right thing in the right way. You take great pride in creating innovative products. You mentor more junior members of the design guild and are actively involved in cultivating Red Badger design principles. You are a great storyteller and a communicator. You can facilitate workshops confidently and plan discovery and innovation activities. You know the importance of an outcome-focused mindset, and use your craft to produce designs at various levels of fidelity to bring the vision to life. You are comfortable working closely with Product and Technology teams to build the thing right, iterating fast and often. You must be comfortable with a hybrid working environment. Our default working practice will be UK based remote working, but we continue to see in-person working as an important part of how we work (ie. not optional), and expect Badgers to be available to attend the office and/or client site with suitable notice. As a consultancy, our remote / in person balance will change depending on the nature of the work, and the clients we are working with.

The Senior Product Designer will focus on:

  • Successfully delivering client outcomes within a cross-functional team
  • Consulting with client stakeholders to execute their product and design strategy
  • Evangelising Human-Centred Design, Design Thinking, Lean and Agile methodologies to deliver quality digital products
  • Supporting the growth of more junior product designers, and Red Badgers’ expertise

  • Engage clients and your team to ensure the proposed design balances business goals and technical constraints in addition to user needs

Your Experience

  • It’d be great if you have Experience working in lean/agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard tools, such as Figma, plus aptitude to learn and introduce new tools and methodologies
  • Led product design implementation as part of a cross functional team or programme working closely with engineers, data insights, user researcher and quality assurance disciplines
  • Experience leading design activities on a project, presenting design concepts to stakeholders and running workshops
  • Designed mobile-first responsive & mobile native digital products
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Human-Centered Design
