  • Previous experience managing resolution of business, technical, and process issues.
  • Understanding and experience in the new product development life cycle.
  • Experience with problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of Digital, CAD, CAE tools for developing component system geometry.
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience within an engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding or working knowledge of the Agile Process.
  • Degree qualified or strong equivalent experience preferred.

Detailed Description From Employer:

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Duties:

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, validate and introduce Cabin Components into Vehicle Programmes. Cabin component commodities are pre-dominantly 'Make to Print' enabling full responsibility of the development process to be managed.

The role requires the individual to:

  • Have a good understanding of the full product development life cycle.
  • Manage the component delivery plan to quality, cost and time.
  • Lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes.

Skills:

  • Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues.
  • Understanding and experience in new product development life cycle.
  • Experience of problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of Digital, CAD, CAE, etc. tools to develop component system geometry.
  • Skilled in key software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
