Summary: ASA Recruitment is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a Public Sector organization in Glasgow. The role is hybrid and involves managing the end-to-end procurement process, developing procurement strategies, and engaging with suppliers. This position is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extensions for up to 23 months, and it is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complete end-to-end procurement process from initial conception to contract award.
  • Work effectively with a range of key stakeholders within various public sector organisations to deliver credible procurement strategies and contracts.
  • Lead the development, planning and implementation of strategies for procurements optimising value for money across the organisation.
  • Active supplier management and customer engagement during the contract lifecycle; review and revise contracts using product and market knowledge.

Key Skills:

  • Commitment towards continuous professional development.
  • External, advanced level professional accreditation of CIPS Level 4 Diploma, WCC Practitioner Certification or relevant equivalent.
  • Significant evidenced experience operating and delivering at an advanced level.
  • Relevant academic qualification at degree or post graduate level may be considered.

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist on a hybrid basis, on an initial 6-month contract (with potential extensions for up to 23 months) on a rate of c.£400-435/day inside of IR35 (based on experience).

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complete end-to-end procurement process from initial conception to contract award.
  • Work effectively with a range of key stakeholders within various public sector organisations to deliver credible procurement strategies and contracts.
  • Leading the development, planning and implementation of strategies for procurements optimising value for money across the organisation.
  • Active supplier management and customer engagement during the contract lifecycle; review and revise contracts using product and market knowledge.

Essential Experience: This is a specialist role which requires evidence of a commitment towards continuous professional development, including external, advanced level professional accreditation of CIPS Level 4 Diploma, WCC Practitioner Certification or relevant equivalent or a commitment to attaining such an accreditation once in post. ‘Equivalent’ may include accreditation from another relevant professional body or a relevant academic qualification at degree or post graduate level. Significant evidenced experience operating and delivering at an advanced level may be considered as equivalent when accompanied by a commitment to attaining an accreditation once in post.
