Summary: The Senior Procurement Officer role at DWP involves managing procurement activities and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring good communication links with relevant digital and financial stakeholders.
  • Maintaining an accurate and timely pipeline of procurement activity and awarded contracts.
  • Bringing market knowledge to support Digital in determining market approaches.
  • Designing and conducting procurements for required software and services.
  • Providing commercial management of resulting contracts.
  • Seeking out and delivering savings opportunities and adding value.
  • Ensuring all relevant information is stored appropriately and updated.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience of running procurements through CCS frameworks.
  • Understanding of UK procurement legislation (PCR2015 and PA2023).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with competing priorities.
