Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain procurement strategies aligned with the National Programme Strategy.
- Manage a range of contracting activities and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Execute the full procurement and contracting process, including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and contract preparation.
- Provide procurement advice across the asset portfolio, addressing specific issues related to the portfolio.
- Support pre-contract procurement for main contractors and influence subcontracting activities where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with Rail policies, procedures, and governance, including legal requirements and EU directives.
- Communicate procurement strategies and concepts clearly, persuading and influencing stakeholders effectively.
- Utilize knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and contract safety and environmental requirements.
- Experience with E-procurement systems.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution.
- Knowledge of the rail industry.

- Diverse and successful procurement and contracts background, with experience in negotiation and developing procurement strategies.

Rate of Pay: Up to £625 per day (inside IR35 via an umbrella company)
Tenure: 6 months
Hybrid: 3 days onsite in Kings Cross, London; 2 days remote
