Summary: Senior Procurement Manager needed for a large government department on an initial 6-month contract. The role involves developing procurement strategies, managing competitions, and ensuring compliance with government policies. Candidates must have SC Clearance and experience in public sector procurement. The position offers hybrid working arrangements with two days in the London office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing commercial/procurement advice to a range of business stakeholders.
- Creating and driving commercial/procurement strategy.
- Running a mixture of procurement activities.
- Building relationships with business and delivery leads.
- Managing governance processes.
- Escalating and managing issues and risks.
- Writing briefs and papers.
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team.
- Running procurements through new Procurement Act 2023 processes or via government frameworks (CCS, G-cloud etc.).
