Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer

Summary: The London Fire Brigade is seeking a Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer for a 6-month full-time contract with hybrid working arrangements. The role involves supporting the Professional Services Category team in managing sourcing strategies and contracts for Fire Safety Training. Candidates should possess knowledge of public contracts regulations and experience in sourcing and contract methodologies within training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Professional Services Category team in developing and managing sourcing strategies and contracting processes for Fire Safety Training.
• Produce compliant public contracts sourcing plans and contract awards in a timely manner.
• Manage ongoing supplier performance and risk management.
• Develop market analysis and multi-year category plans aligned with the team’s transformation plan.
• Utilize and promote procurement data analytics and management information.
• Engage proactively and reliably with stakeholders.
• Ensure prompt resolution of actions and issues to meet performance targets.

Key Skills:

• Good working knowledge of public contracts regulations and the upcoming Procurement Act 2023.
• Understanding of sourcing and contract award methodologies within training and development.
• Experience working flexibly in a team environment.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Salary (Rate): 279.31
