Summary: The Senior Railway Engineer Project Manager at Stantec will lead and manage complex railroad and transit projects, ensuring design quality and client engagement. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead T&R design projects from design development through construction services.
• Supervise junior engineers and technical professionals in deliverable preparation.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of design deliverables for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Participate in scope, fee, and schedule negotiations.
• Support cross-business line strategic initiatives with technical insight.
• Engage with clients and industry organizations to enhance Stantec’s profile.
• Network and promote Stantec’s capabilities to attract talent.
• Maintain relationships with industry contacts, including freight railroads and transit agencies.
• Identify and recruit additional talent for the T&R Sector team.

Key Skills:

• Licensed or ability to obtain Professional Engineer license in relevant states.
• Experience with MicroStation V8i, InRoads, and OpenRail.
• Project management and business development experience with state passenger rail agencies.
• Knowledge of AREMA, Class I Railroad, and agency design standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
