Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform own design work and supervise/check work by others in accordance with company and client standards.
  • Represent Process Engineering in discussions and meetings with clients, vendors, and third parties.
  • Understand and follow discipline programme activities/deliverables, interdependencies, and man-hour budgets.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary project delivery team to integrate Process Engineering design requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, legislation, and requirements for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
  • Attend the Aberdeen Office part-time by mutual agreement and travel to company, supplier, or client offices or sites as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of UK Regulatory environment and relevant industry codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Experience in the full project lifecycle, including FEED/EPC experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Gas Processing Technology and Process Simulation.
  • Development of Process Design Basis, Heat and Material Balances, Process Flow Diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Sizing and specification of Process requirements for Unit Operations and Major Equipment.
  • Hazard Study experience including HAZID and HAZOP.
  • Functional Safety Management including SIL Classification using LOPA.
  • Technical Risk Management and Commercial Awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • First degree in Chemical Engineering; Chartered Engineer preferred (MIChemE/FIChemE).
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the onshore oil and gas sector.
  • Recognised SHE Competence Card (CCNSG or CSCS).

The role requires the services of a Senior Process Engineer with knowledge and experience in the design of onshore Gas Processing Facilities to work on allocated engineering design projects and studies.

Role Dimensions - A Senior Process Engineer will be an experienced process engineer capable of performing complex technical work on major projects with limited supervision.

Duties

  • To perform own design work and supervise and/or check work by others in accordance with company and client standards and procedures.
  • To represent Process Engineering in discussions and meetings with client, vendors and third parties.
  • To understand and follow discipline programme activities/deliverables, interdependencies, and man-hour budgets.
  • To work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary project delivery team, through proactive liaison with other disciplines and to ensure integration of Process Engineering design requirements into the overall engineering design.
  • To ensure personal compliance with current company policy, relevant legislation and company and client’s requirements for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters and work in such a manner not to cause personal harm or injury to fellow workers, client and subcontractor employees or the environment.
  • The role requires part-time attendance at the Aberdeen Office by mutual agreement and may require travel to company, supplier or client offices or sites for business purposes.

First degree in Chemical Engineering. Chartered Engineer preferred (MIChemE/FIChemE). The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the onshore oil and gas sector preferably in an engineering consultancy or contracting environment. Knowledge and experience of other relevant sectors is beneficial but not essential. Recognised SHE Competence Card (CCNSG or CSCS). Role can be outside of IR35
