Senior/Principle Electronic Design Engineer

Summary: The Senior/Principal Electronic Design Engineer role in Basildon involves contributing to the development of advanced thermal imaging and airborne sensor products for a leading defence and aerospace technology company. The position requires expertise in electronic design, circuit simulation, and high-speed digital design, with a focus on delivering high-fidelity systems. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of the engineering development lifecycle and PCB design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement definition and support to generation of verification plans
• Electronic design analysis, circuit simulation and prototyping
• Electronic schematic capture and PCB layout support
• Power supply and interface circuit design for digital processors and microcontrollers
• High-speed digital design - including FPGA, DDR and high speed LVDS video designs
• Testing and debugging of electronic circuits
• Development of subsystem engineering solutions and specifications
• Cabling and connector specifications
• Integration and Verification of System and Sub-Systems
• Support to Qualification (including EMC)
• Production and Delivery support
