Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with UKI Fire and Tech Lines underwriters to assess portfolio performance and optimize risk selection.
- Lead portfolio reviews, planning, and forecasting for sustainable growth and profitability.
- Build and calibrate exposure and experience rating engines for benchmark rating and case pricing.
- Monitor and communicate key portfolio trends through dashboards and reports.
- Lead the parameterization of underwriting risk and contribute to reinsurance submissions.
- Engage with reserving, catastrophe modeling, and other actuarial teams for common projects.
- Provide guidance and indirect management to junior staff within the pricing team.
Key Skills:
- Professional actuarial qualification (or close to qualifying) with experience in case pricing and portfolio management.
- Strong loss cost modeling and statistical analysis capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities As an Actuarial Pricing Manager, you’ll: Act as a Trusted Partner: Collaborate with UKI Fire and Tech Lines underwriters to assess portfolio performance, optimize risk selection, and develop strategies to enhance underwriting results and grow the book. Drive Portfolio Excellence: Lead portfolio reviews, planning, and forecasting to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. Develop Advanced Tools: Build and calibrate exposure and experience rating engines to support benchmark rating and case pricing. Ensure tools are tailored to meet the needs of underwriters and stakeholders. Deliver Insights: Monitor and communicate key portfolio trends, including renewal rate changes, new business adequacy, inflation impacts, and more, through dashboards and reports. Support Risk Management: Lead the parameterization of underwriting risk for UKI Property and contribute to reinsurance submissions and allocations. Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with reserving, catastrophe modeling, and other actuarial teams to share knowledge and drive common projects. Mentor Junior Talent: Provide guidance and indirect management to junior staff within the Short Tail lines pricing team.
