Summary: The Senior Power Platform Developer will provide expert technical leadership in designing and improving Microsoft Power Platform "Service Packs" that integrate various data sources for enhanced decision-making within the Council. The role involves developing a management suite of information to identify transformation opportunities and improve efficiency across multiple domains, including finance and HR. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to facilitate effective communication and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and improve Microsoft Power Platform "Service Packs" for Finance, HR, Contracts, Risk, and Service performance data.
  • Develop a management suite of information to identify transformation opportunities and budget interrogation.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, mentor junior developers, and manage product backlogs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to facilitate requirements workshops and documentation.
  • Integrate with finance and HR systems via REST or OData APIs.
  • Utilize data modelling, ETL, and SQL performance-tuning skills.

Key Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
  • ITIL v4 Foundation and/or Agile (Scrum) certification.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Power Apps & Dataverse solutions.
  • Proficient in Power Fx, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET C#, T-SQL, DAX, and JSON.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong data modelling, ETL, and SQL performance-tuning skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Provide expert technical leadership in the design, build and continual improvement of Microsoft?Power?Platform “Service?Packs” that consolidate Finance, HR, Contracts, Risk and Service performance data into intuitive Power?Apps and analytical dashboards—enabling decision makers across the Council to access timely insight, drive efficiency and evidence outcomes.

We need to develop a management suite of information to identify and inform transformation opportunities and budget interrogation. Transformation priorities include process efficiencies, customer contact and channel shift, contract management and compliance, spend control and analysis, HR intelligence and controls, risk and change management, income analysis and costing of traded services.

(a) Education & formal training

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
  • ITIL?v4 Foundation and/or Agile (Scrum) certification

(b) Relevant technical experience, knowledge & skills

  • 3+?years designing, developing and supporting production Power?Apps & Dataverse solutions
  • Hands-on integration with Integra (finance), Axiom (budget management), Northgate/Zellis (HR and payroll) or similar finance/HR systems via REST or OData APIs
  • Proficient in Power?Fx, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET?C#, T-SQL, DAX and JSON
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API?Management and DevOps pipelines
  • Strong data modelling, ETL and SQL performance-tuning skills
