Summary: The Senior Power BI Developer will focus on creating advanced dashboards and reports for Energy Trading stakeholders, utilizing Power BI and Databricks. This role requires strong data modeling skills and the ability to deliver high-quality analytics solutions in a fast-paced trading environment. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week onsite in London, UK. The contract duration is six months and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports for Energy Trading stakeholders
- Build robust data models and optimize performance for large datasets
- Work closely with traders, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements
- Integrate data from Databricks and other cloud-based platforms
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and reporting best practices
- Translate complex trading data into meaningful visual insights
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, performance tuning)
- Proven experience working on Energy Trading dashboards (power, gas, commodities, etc.)
- Strong experience with Databricks
- Experience working in a regulated financial or energy trading environment
