Summary: The Power BI Analyst/Data Visualisation Specialist will be integral to the Business Information Transformation programme, focusing on enhancing data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role involves engaging with users to create impactful dashboards and reports, ensuring high-quality data is utilized for service delivery improvements. The position is a 6-month contract based in Glasgow and classified as outside IR35. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Power BI to support the organization's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the user community to translate data analysis requirements into dashboards and reports.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that drive business performance.
- Perform advanced data analysis and modelling to uncover trends and opportunities.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with governance and GDPR standards.
- Develop a structured data analysis framework for consistent insight generation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide effective data visualisation solutions.
- Present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the BIT programme's mission by delivering insights for strategic decisions.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in large, complex datasets.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting insights effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing data analysis frameworks.
- Ability to ensure data integrity and compliance with governance standards.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is desirable.
- Experience in public sector environments is a plus.
