Summary: The Senior PMO Analyst role involves supporting a complex portfolio of digital and business change initiatives within a major programme delivery team. The position requires a proactive professional who excels in governance, reporting, financial management, and programme assurance. The successful candidate will manage programme controls, RAID processes, and stakeholder communications while ensuring effective delivery across multiple workstreams. This is a hybrid role with an initial contract of six months, requiring occasional presence in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive PMO support across programme and project activities, including planning, governance, reporting, quality assurance, and administration.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of programme governance schedules and governance forums.
  • Assist with programme change control processes and governance compliance.
  • Ensure programme documentation and deliverables are maintained to agreed standards and timelines.
  • Chair PMO meetings and communicate progress updates to programme stakeholders.
  • Own and administer programme RAID processes and associated documentation.
  • Maintain programme RAID logs, ensuring risks, issues, actions, assumptions and dependencies are accurately captured and regularly updated.
  • Track mitigation activities and provide regular status reporting to Programme Managers.
  • Maintain oversight of actions arising from governance forums and programme meetings.
  • Produce and coordinate programme status reporting and management information.
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, Product Owners, PMO colleagues and wider digital teams to gather and validate key programme data.
  • Provide regular programme updates, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support programme financial management activities, including budget forecasting, accrual management, invoice processing and tracking, and cost reporting.
  • Assist with resource planning and reporting activities across the programme.
  • Provide accurate financial and resource information to support decision-making.
  • Organise and facilitate programme meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
  • Prepare agendas, capture minutes, manage actions, and track completion.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities for consultants and contractors, including security vetting administration, system access requests, equipment and account provisioning, and departure processes.
  • Configure and optimise PMO tools and reporting solutions, including SharePoint, Azure DevOps (ADO), Power BI, and related platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting efficiency, and programme delivery outcomes.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering PMO services within large programmes or projects.
  • Strong knowledge of programme governance, reporting, planning, RAID management, and financial controls.
  • Experience supporting Programme Boards and senior governance forums.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive and self-starting approach.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project.
  • Experience managing programme finances, reporting, and resource data.
  • Experience working within the nuclear sector (desirable).
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or technology-led programmes (desirable).
  • Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies (desirable).
  • Experience using SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Power BI, or similar programme management tools (desirable).
