Duration: 6 months

Day rate: 550 - 685 inside IR35

Role Description:

There are multiple projects underway impacting the Finance function and we need a highly experienced individual who has delivered projects in this space. Current work includes:

    • Actuarial systems delivery of model changes required for ISA product launch
    • Finance systems delivery of system change and testing for accounting, banking, general ledger and tax requirements for ISA product launch
    • Actuarial and Finance systems delivery of model changes required for bulk purchase annuity (BPA) transactions
    • Actuarial and Finance system integration with BPA policy admin system
    • Mobilisation of Actuarial and Finance workstream for Protection Policy Administration System programme.
    • Actuarial and Finance systems delivery of data changes required for the migration of Progress books into Migration

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of working on projects covering changes to Finance systems to be able to understand the technical actuarial and financial jargon.
  • Experience of data migration as the Finance PMs will be required to support the migration projects that are happening across the organisation.
  • Ideally Life and Pensions experience or at least exposure to insurance transactions that take place here.
  • Ability to dive into the plan and not just manage the plan and help shape solutions on behalf of Finance.
  • Strong dependency management as a lot of the Finance impacts are downstream of projects and therefore linking the financial or actuarial system changes to upstream projects is critical.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement: what comes out of financial systems is heavily regulated and goes to different people with different requirements from the output.
  • Exposure and understanding of actuarial and accounting processes would be desirable.
  • Understand release management and be able to build plans around the 6 monthly Actuarial release plans.
