Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, modification, and enhancement of PLC-based control systems across multiple international manufacturing sites
- Design and implement PLC code using Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure effective integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical systems
- Support on-site commissioning (where required) and provide remote technical support to local engineering teams
- Document all changes and updates in line with internal standards and industry best practice
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and advise on control strategy optimisation
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a PLC Programmer within a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
- Strong hands-on expertise with Siemens (TIA Portal / S7) and Allen Bradley (RSLogix / Studio 5000) platforms
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery
- Experience working on control system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements
- Previous exposure to rail sector manufacturing is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to collaborate with international teams; occasional travel may be required
