Summary: The role of Senior Planning Professional is based in Barrow and involves hybrid working arrangements, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site. This position is within a leading Defence organization and is initially offered as a 6-month contract. The role requires expertise in project controls and management, along with strong skills in team integration and Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of appropriate PM&C approaches based on understanding of business structure and culture.
  • Utilize prior experience in a Project Controls/Project Management environment.
  • Gather information and assist in developing solutions and implementation approaches.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team integration across multiple projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office functions, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Key Skills:

  • Good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes, and culture of line of business.
  • Prior experience within a Project Controls/Project Management environment.
  • Ability to gather information and support development of solutions.
  • Experience in cross-functional team integration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functions.
  • In-depth experience of Primavera P6 and knowledge of its administration functions (desirable).
  • Understanding of Stage 2/3 Engineering delivery (First Issue Outputs & Change).

Salary (Rate): £53.90 Hourly

Barrow based Hybrid

53.90 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

6 Month Contract initially.

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Barrow in Furness. Hybrid working. 2-3 days per week in Barrow and the rest remote.

Skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes and culture of line of business, so as to be able to support implementation of appropriate PM&C approaches
  • Prior experience within a Project Controls/Project Management environment
  • An ability to gather information and experience of supporting with the development of solutions and of implementation approaches
  • Good experience of cross functional team integration across multiple projects
  • Experience of Microsoft Office functions; Excel (the generation and manipulation of data), Outlook, PowerPoint (construction of presentations and reports) and Word

Desirable

  • In depth experience of Primavera P6 with knowledge of administration functions for the package

Understanding of Stage 2/3 Engineering delivery (First Issue Outputs & Change)
