Summary: Our client, a SaaS business located in Central London, is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer for an initial 6-month hybrid contract. The role involves developing and maintaining PHP-based applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring code quality. The ideal candidate should have experience with complex enterprise systems and relevant PHP frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based applications and systems.
- Work on SaaS Enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Ensure code quality and performance through testing and debugging practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions and provide innovative solutions.
- Optimise existing systems for scalability and efficiency.
- Document technical specifications and maintain project documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in PHP development.
Key Skills:
- Experience with complex Enterprise systems (not from an Agency or Ecommerce background).
- Proficient in PHP.
- Experience with Symfony or Laravel frameworks.
- Ability to build and consume APIs.
- Knowledge of AWS.
- Ability to write Raw SQL.
- Familiarity with TDD.
- Experience with LAMP Stack.
