Summary: The Senior Pension Administrator role involves managing complex pension calculations and queries, ensuring high-quality service delivery while mentoring junior colleagues. The position requires expertise in pension legislation and administration processes, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The role is primarily remote with occasional office visits and is contracted for six months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and manage complex pensions calculations and queries across various pension processes.
- Check and monitor work completed by junior colleagues, providing feedback and guidance.
- Act as a point of escalation for technical issues, non-standard cases, and member complaints.
- Utilize knowledge of pension legislation and company procedures to ensure high-quality work.
- Support the Team Leader in achieving service level agreements and performance standards.
- Coach, support, and mentor junior colleagues to enhance team development.
- Identify areas for service improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Assist in complex and project-based work as required.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in occupational pension administration (DB and/or DC).
- Knowledge of Pensions Legislation and Regulations.
- Experience with manual calculations for various administration processes.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow procedural documentation.
- Ability to manage high volumes of work with accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues.
- Experience working in a hybrid/multi-site team is advantageous.
