Summary: The role of Senior Oracle Database Administrator involves managing and supporting complex Oracle environments for a central government agency in Somerset, England. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, support and optimise Oracle 19c databases, including Dataguard, RMAN, and OEM Grid Control.

- Deliver high-quality technical support and incident resolution (3rd line), including deep-dive troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Ensure business continuity through robust backup, recovery, high availability, and replication strategies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to maintain database compliance and operational excellence.
- Engage with project teams to support database architecture, security, and resilience in new initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior staff to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
