Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises, mentors, and guides junior crew; training and supervising fellow DPs.
  • Assists Party Chief with the execution of given work and tasks.
  • Performs personnel assessment and competency evaluations.
  • Manages and carries out specific job tasks as requested by Party Chief or Project Manager.
  • Assists data processors in performing their work in accordance with safe work procedures.
  • Coordinates and communicates with clients, crew members, and Project Managers.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of company and client equipment and vessels.

Key Skills:

  • Good understanding and use of advanced data processing methods.
  • The ability to use data storage structures.
  • Implement and monitor a data and report quality control system.
  • Use of advanced CAD skills for survey and charting.
  • Considerable experience as a Data Processor in the Marine Construction Survey field.
  • Qualification in an appropriate engineering or IT related subject or appropriate technical/military experience and qualifications.
  • Advanced standard of IT literacy with advanced computer interfacing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of survey IT and networking.
  • Thorough understanding of underlying IT principles and mechanisms.
  • Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work offshore.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas to travel internationally in countries the company operates in.

Position

Due to recent project awards and continuous growth, we have opportunities for Senior Offshore Data Processors globally to support varied operations across exciting new projects in our key regions (Europe & Africa, Americas, APAC). The successful candidate will be responsible for on board processing and processing personnel, QC and management of all relevant acquired data including but not limited to hydrographic and/or bathymetric data, as well as the production of associated charts.
