Summary: The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality occupational therapy services across four care homes in West Yorkshire, focusing on empowering residents and maximizing their independence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist assessments, clinical diagnoses, and interventions for residents.
  • Develop and deliver person-centered occupational therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with the Therapy Team, including Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants.
  • Maintain accurate records for individuals receiving occupational therapy.
  • Promote choice, dignity, and independence among residents.
  • Lead and supervise Junior Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
  • Support residents and their families in achieving their goals.

Key Skills:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational therapy best practices.
  • Excellent range of occupational therapy interventions and treatments.
  • Kind and caring approach with a sense of humor.

Care home : Ravensdale Care Home (Leeds) Copperfields Care Home (Leeds) Hillside Court Care Home (Leeds) Wykewood Care Home (Bradford)

Location : Multisite covering four services across the West Yorkshire region

Contract type : Full time - Monday to Friday.

Rate : £40,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a positive and can-do attitude? Are you a positive and encouraging people person who loves to see people making progress?… Join us as our new Senior Occupational Therapist working across four complex care services in West Yorkshire.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist with us, you’ll support our residents with a high-quality occupational therapy service throughout their journey with us. You’ll play a key role in empowering them and maximising their independence. You’ll lead and supervise Junior Therapists or Therapy Assistants across the homes you support to ensure delivery of evidence-based, high quality therapy and rehabilitation. You’ll build relationships with the people you support, and see the progress they make through ongoing care, which is extremely rewarding.

About The Role

Our Occupational Therapists provide specialist assessments, clinical diagnoses and interventions to help people overcome the challenges they face with completing everyday tasks and activities. You’ll work as part of a wider Clinical Team to create person-centred care and rehabilitation plans that maintain and build people’s abilities, support them to achieve their goals and evaluate their outcomes.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • being responsible for a clinical caseload working alongside the people we support, their loved ones and professionals to develop and deliver person-centred occupational therapy interventions
  • collaborating closely with the Therapy Team (Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant and Activities Coordinators)
  • being responsible for a clinical caseload
  • carrying out assessments
  • maintaining accurate records for people receiving occupational therapies
  • promoting choice, dignity and independence.
