Summary: The Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of large-scale network infrastructure for a leading tech client in London. This position involves leading incident responses, troubleshooting complex network issues, and driving automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network engineering and operations, with a strong focus on mentoring and technical leadership. The role requires participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation and expertise in various networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and resolve high-severity network incidents and outages
- Advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewalling, and wireless
- Mentor engineers and drive operational excellence
- Participate in shift-based on-call rotation
- Work in multi-vendor environments including Arista, Cisco, Cumulus, and others
- Implement network segmentation and policy enforcement
- Manage VPNs such as GlobalProtect and AnyConnect
- Utilize automation and observability tools like Grafana and Splunk
- Lead innovation projects including wireless design initiatives and AI/GPU cluster network deployments
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience in network engineering & operations
- Strong expertise in routing & switching, firewalling, and wireless networks
- Deep understanding of overlay/underlay networking
- Strong Linux/Unix skills
- Experience with automation & monitoring platforms
- Ability to work independently and set technical direction
- Mentoring skills for junior engineers
- Familiarity with network & automation tools like NetBox and Prometheus
- Expertise in EVPN/Segment Routing or strong MPLS depth

Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer: For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer for a long contract based in London, UK Its paying well and my client can interview asap!
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network SRE . This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale, mission-critical network infrastructure. The engineer will lead incident response, troubleshoot complex network issues, and drive automation and observability initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements
- H ands-on experience in network engineering & operations
- Strong expertise in: Routing & Switching
- Firewalling
- Wireless networks
- Deep understanding of overlay / underlay networking
- Strong Linux / Unix skills
- Experience with automation & monitoring platforms
- Ability to work independently, set technical direction, and mentor engineers
