Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and optimise enterprise WLAN solutions across office and industrial environments
  • Conduct predictive and onsite wireless surveys, RF analysis, and coverage optimisation
  • Troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi issues including authentication, interference, and performance degradation
  • Create and maintain Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for Wi-Fi, NAC, and related network services
  • Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for deployments, refreshes, and upgrades
  • Support Wi-Fi lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and platform teams to deliver scalable wireless solutions
  • Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Wireless Networking
  • Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise WLAN technologies, especially Cisco Wireless and Aruba Wireless
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals (channel planning, power management, interference mitigation)
  • Knowledge of 802.11 standards including Wi-Fi 5 / 6 / 6E / 7
  • Familiarity with WLAN authentication methods (EAP, RADIUS, role-based access)
  • Experience with enterprise wireless controllers and cloud-managed Wi-Fi platforms
  • Experience with wireless survey and design tools such as Ekahau and Hamina
  • Experience with Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass
  • Familiarity with 802.1X authentication and profiling
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in large-scale enterprise Wi-Fi environments
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel ad hoc across UK client locations for onsite surveys and deployment activities

Senior Wireless Network Engineer

We are currently hiring an experienced Wireless Network Engineer for a major UK infrastructure modernisation programme. This is a high-priority client requirement focused on enhancing network reliability, security, and user experience across enterprise and industrial environments. This role is ideal for candidates seeking a long-term engagement with quick interview turnaround and onboarding.

Project Overview

The programme includes:

  • Enterprise network modernisation
  • Wi-Fi infrastructure refresh and optimisation
  • SD-WAN-enabled high-speed connectivity services
  • Wireless surveys and RF design activities
  • Disaster recovery connectivity using satellite and 5G technologies
  • Support for expansion and deployment projects across UK locations

The successful candidate will conduct both onsite and desktop wireless surveys using tools such as Ekahau, while contributing to the design, deployment, and optimisation of enterprise wireless solutions.
