Summary: We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with potential extensions, focusing on the Cisco Meraki Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, particularly in designing and implementing complex network solutions. Responsibilities include architecting Cisco Meraki solutions and providing guidance on SDWAN and automation. The role requires a proactive approach to network improvement and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seek opportunities for functional & process improvement via automation and network identification/detection
- Architect and implement Cisco Meraki solutions and to investigate and support troubleshooting efforts on SDWAN, WAN, LAN and wireless network technical issues
- Provide guidance and recommendations on SDWAN and automation solution to the Network team
- Document network environments, develop and deploy network policy documents
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of proven experience in a network engineer/consultant/architect role, managing, building and designing a complex network
- 2+ years experience designing and deploying in Cisco Meraki environments
- Certifications: Cisco CCNP or higher certification (CCIE preferred)
- Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies (MPLS, VPN)
- Expertise in network automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.)
- Experience with firewall technologies
- Strong expertise and experience of routing and switching platforms (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus)
- Experience in tuning / optimizing network monitoring, logging and anomaly detection tools such as Extrahop, Splunk, and Thousandeye
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
